I finished the embroidered garden. I was going to add greenery of some kind, but decided not to. I’m glad I did. As much as I like green, sometimes you must leave it out. I also want this to be somewhat abstract and if I’d gone into the “the colours are all the flowers and the green is grass and leaves etc”, it would have been slightly less so. Highlight this to see who it’s for: my mum, and I can’t wait to give it to her!
Here’s the frame I’m going to put it in. I like these old frames, they are so pretty. And I especially like the pattern on the paper inside it and the little sticker. You don’t see anything like that these days. It’s basically just a clip frame, but so much lovelier than the ones you can get now.
Here’s a close-up. Because I can, and because I happen to like close-ups. ;-)
Tomorrow we’re off to Denmark (yay!) I can barely wait! Hopefully we’ll get all the big things concerning the wedding sorted out and booked. Which will be a load of my mind. There might be some charity shop visiting, there’ll definitely be some catching up with friends and undoubtedly some of my mum’s lovely food. And really, what more can you ask for?
