Like I haven’t been busy with everything else, I decided to cook up two new patterns. That’s right, not just one, but two patterns! Ok, I’ll be honest, they are similar, but they still had to be stitched and stuff! The patterns are in my shop as a set.
They are inspired by Scandinavian folk art… which isn’t so strange, I guess, what with me being Danish and all.. Also, a bit of a ‘tree of life’ imagery going on..
First, ‘Love Birds’ – It’s kind of a Valentine’s pattern, but you can use it for other times and things. I’ve been fantasizing about stitching it in Delft blue on white – wouldn’t that look pretty?
In the pattern, there’s a heart with initials, I used “U + I”, but you can change those to your own initials – or maybe a name – unless it’s a very long name. The heart isn’t terribly big; but I guess you could just enlarge the heart!
Next, ‘Spring Birds’ – Why does January drag its feet so? I really wouldn’t mind if spring started on, say, January 1. Wouldn’t that be nice? Well.. until spring actually appears, we can pretend it’s here already with these sweet birdies.
They really are cute! Is it ok that I say that? I can just imagine how cute they would look on a tiny tshirt or a onesie. Tweet!
Both patterns are lovely. I enjoyed your post about Megan. Always enjoy hearing about crafters who try a little bit of everything. Best wishes, Tammy
