Some of my recent darning projects. A glove that I bought not long ago was fraying along the edge of the cuff. So I added a bit of contrast with the darning.
I would have done Swiss darn on it but I’m still trying to figure out how to do that for purl stitch. Maybe I can do that if/when the other glove needs darning! :-)
The same glove also had a beginning hole where the cuff is attached so I reinforced that with Swiss darning. I’m a bit disappointed that these gloves are not lasting better but atleast it gives me a chance to practice my darning…
A pair of socks in need of darning. I do like adding this kind of visible darning to things. If you’re going to the trouble of darning something you might as well show it off! :-)
