Skeins of Happy Colour

The other day I treated myself to some fancy-ish embroidery thread. I think the base thread is DMC but it has been dyed by a different company, Weeks Dye Works.

I didn’t mean to buy this many skeins…I was really only looking to replenish one I had almost used up. But then one thing took another and here I am with 10 new delicious skeins and I don’t feel bad about it. ;-)

I haven’t bought any threads ‘for fun’ in at least a year. Since my stitching hand was acting up for most of last year, I didn’t do much stitching and certainly nothing that was ‘just for fun’. So in a way a deserve these threads? For my patience with my hand issue? :-D

In case you also need some colourful threads in your stash, here are the colour names. The one I wanted to replenish is Calypso, in that fetching pink, green and yellow combo. Come to think of it, maybe I should have bought two skeins of that one…

Another couple of photos because why not. :-)
